Shangri-La Golden Sands, Penang

I love every bits in GS, from the staff and the facilities. We requested for an extra bed and extra towels. The facilities are all clean even though there are many people staying. The pools were clean. The area for sun bathing clean. The rooms are all well maintain and clean. They prepared very well.

I appreciated the warm and helpful service provided by a staff member named Wind. He was always friendly, greeted everyone with a smile, and made our stay more enjoyable.

It was really lovely sitting by the beach every evening, watching beautiful sunset. All staff were so friendly, kind and attentative. I'd really like to send my big 'thank you' to Djul, Jeff and Amal at the Sigis Grill & Bar, who really made our stay very enjoyable and comfortable. Also another big 'thank you' to Wind at the Concierge - I was supposed to move to Georgetown but the booking got suddenly cancelled so had to extend 1 more night at Shangri-la - Wind was detailed with checking everything on my last-minute reservation, made us feel so safe and relieved. For breakfast- it was a good mixture of local menus with western menus, also the seafood buffet 1+1 was a good option. I did enjoy staying here!

The room was big, spacious, comfortable, bright. The cafe/restaurant was big & nice & serve various type of foods. The cafe/restaurant staff was friendly & helpful in providing food recommendations. The access to parking was great as just hop into the buggy with a friendly staff. Overall it was a pleasant stay & that was the 2nd time stayed at the resort. I would suggest that the resort can provide a discount for any patron who had stayed at the resort for more than 2-3 times as a token of appreciation. Definitely the patron would appreciate it very much & can help to promote the resort to other group of their freinds.
